QuakeEscape is not affiliated to any governmental or non-governmental organisation, however we will liase with such organisations as appropriate and pass data on to trusted organisations (such as Housing New Zealand, the Ministry of Social Development, Red Cross) in order to facilitate ongoing support for both Hosts and Guests.

QuakeEscape is a resource for use by individuals affected by the quake and for governmental and non-governmental agencies to use for finding emergency temporary accommoodation for earthquake victims.

QuakeEscape is an informational service only, with the intention to provide earthquake victims the means to connect with offers of accommodation made through this site. Arrangements between Hosts and Guests is to be discussed and agreed by both parties. QuakeEscape is not a party to any discussions between Guests and Hosts and exists only to facilitate initial contact.
